our father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

🕯️ what it is
the our father is the prayer jesus taught his disciples.
it is a prayer of trust, dependence, forgiveness, surrender, and daily need.
🧭 when i might use this
- during the rosary
- during mass
- during night prayer
- when i need familiar words
- when i feel anxious or scattered
- when i need to hand something back to God
🧠 note to self
this prayer does not require me to feel calm first.
it gives me a path to follow when my mind is busy, tired, or full of weather.
