๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ prayer

glory be to the father,
and to the son,
and to the holy spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
amen.

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ what it is

the glory be is a short prayer of praise to the holy trinity.

it often appears at the end of a decade of the rosary, after psalms, or as a simple way to turn prayer back toward praise.

๐Ÿงญ when i might use this

  • during the rosary
  • during night prayer
  • after another prayer
  • when i want something brief and familiar
  • when i need a small prayer that is more praise than petition
  • when i want to close a thought with God instead of leaving it floating around unsupervised

๐Ÿง  note to self

this prayer is small enough to fit almost anywhere.

it can be a closing stitch.
